I really wish we would stop perpetuating this idea - because I can’t have been the only teenager who felt so isolated by the language around stretch marks. Who felt like I looked wrong, or different, because we don’t discuss them as they are: a sign that you grew, like you are supposed to.

Every body I have ever seen a lot of has had stretch marks, regardless of gender, shape or status as a parent. You do not need to have been pregnant to have stretch marks. Most stretch marks exist because of other things, even!!!
