This weekend I am at strangegamesfestival.co.uk - one of the events is gussied-up jousting with bikes as steeds and pool noodles as lances. It's knowingly silly and kind of great.

V and N, my late (AFAB) husband was a judge for the 1st Polari children's/YA award in '22 and proud of it. If he were still with us, he'd have disowned Polari for this and raised hell on top of the many other reasons he'd have had to raise hell.

We'd probably have left the UK by now. I still might.

I am sleeping on the matter before I decide whether expressing it would contribute to the public discourse or not.
