Have tried my usual ways but captions are always deleted after downloading. The irony that an accessibility tool isn't accessible!

Accessibility needs to be embedded into budgets from the beginning. When accessibility is seen as core rather than as an add-on, it makes things better for everyone.

Accessibility is constantly evolving. Don’t fall into the trap of thinking you’ve learned it all. The needs of people with disabilities vary, and so do the tools and solutions available to meet those needs. Stay curious, stay humble.

I think I’ve covered most of the content I’ve seen on BlueSky so far— I’ll end this thread with a graphic from Puzzle’s #AccessAlt campaign, where they turned info from my first alt text post into a shareable graphic, complete with a capybara. Now you’re ready for the #AltTextChallenge! (10/10)

A screenshot of Bluesky's alt text reminder options. At the top of the page it says "Accessibility" then underneath there are two options for "Alt text" which are "Require alt text before posting" and "Display larger alt text badges." The first of these is toggled to "on." There's also a "Media" option which is "Disable autoplay for videos and GIFs."

19 million @bsky.app users? Better make sure they all know about the handy alt text reminder! 🫡

Go to Settings > Accessibility and make sure "Require alt text before posting" is toggled on.

We love that accessibility is such a priority here.
