I’ve changed my mind. A Nazi symbol is disqualifying. He should have been open about his past mistakes and ideas right from the start. A mea culpa after exposure in the media seems disingenuous.

The Democratic party need more candidates like him. Wake up @schumer.senate.gov. Next on the list to be challenged should be Senator Ed Markey @markey.senate.gov in Massachusetts.

Agree completely. Trump seems to be infatuated with Putin for some reason.

Trump is infatuated with Putin and is being used to delay any sanctions on Russia for continuing the war against Ukraine. it shows how weak Trump really is in that he is not prepared to stand up to Putin and protect Ukraine's sovereignty. He probably does not really care.

Grok naming for Musk’s AI seems to be a particularly childish branding for an AI assistant.

Trump is totally humorless. No sense of fun, irony or satire at all.

Tom Lehrer, Musical Satirist With a Dark Streak, Dies at 97

Tom Lehrer embodied 60s satirical comedy which was both cutting and funny. The first song of his I heard was the Vatican Rag and I was hooked. It was mimed by John Howitt at the 680 Club in Kilara in Sydney. www.nytimes.com/2025/07/27/a...

Why does the POW/MIA flag continue to be flown on government buildings? Isn’t there a better way to honor service men and women who were imprisoned during war and those who are still missing? The flag seems to be an ugly relic of the Vietnam war.

It was my first time in Barcelona Spain and it is an amazing city. The ambience, restaurants, architecture, art, streetscapes, beaches, parks and people are fabulous.

How Brad Lander Helped Push Zohran Mamdani Toward Victory In New York’s mayoral primary, Andrew Cuomo was no match for the energy of progressive rivals who saw a virtue in unity.

Brad Lander and Zohran Mamdani were obstensibly running against each other to be New York City’s next mayor. But their cross-endorsement and alliance showcased what parliamentary-style coalition politics could look like in the age of so much vitriol and polarization.

@mayorwu.boston.gov the roads in Boston are terrible for biking. East Berkeley, the Fenway Park end of Boylston St are potholed and incredibly bumpy. Why are roads not a priority especially for getting people out of cars and onto bikes?

I am an immigrant from Australia I used to love this country as a place of equality of opportunity. With Trump and his authoritarian sycophants in power that sentiment is fading.

Remember: Almost all of us are the descendants of immigrants who fled persecution, or were brought to America under duress, or sought better lives for themselves and their descendants.

Politicians who stoke fear and hatred over immigration want you to forget this.

Do not.
