We live in a 'democracy'.
Yet a power-mad madman can start a war and continue on as long as he likes, a war no one voted for, not Americans not Congress, not anybody.
We don't live in a democracy.
That's the problem, the people need to take control.
"We love to make promises because a promise is just a lie that hasn't happened yet."
-- SNL Donald Trump (March 14 ep)
Al Gore. Hillary Clinton. Kamala Harris.
Just think where our country - and the world - would be today if the people who’d won their elections had been allowed to win their elections.
WELKER: Would you consider voting for more funding for the military during this conflict?
SCHIFF: No. The military has all the funding it needs for this conflict. This $11 billion we've spent just within the first few days -- that's money that could've gone into new hospitals and schools.
France has opened two investigations linked to the Epstein files—one focused on possible sex trafficking and another examining potential financial crimes.dk

Epstein prison guard who was on duty when Epstein was killed, and the last to see Epstein before he died, to sit for closed door testimony on March 26th. 👠
This is such a weak, pathetic response from the Secretary of Energy, made all the more so by the fact that he looks like he's fighting back tears as he says it.
France’s response was to basically fart in Donny’s general direction.
The ayatollah’s son showed up at Mar-a-Lago. He died and was walking around with no arms and no legs. He said, “Mr. President, sir, it would be our honor to surrender to a big, strong leader,” with tears in his eyes.
Not one editorial or op-ed about the Iran war in today’s Washington Post. The biggest op-ed is about the state of modern dating. If Bezos set out to destroy one of America’s leading newspapers, he has more than succeeded.
Trump declares Iran war ‘victory’ 5 times in 13 seconds … does this mean he has ended 9 wars now?

I see all of the posts directing so much anger at all of us in the United States for "allowing" Trump to happen. I get it. I understand it, and rarely offer any pushback.
But there are millions of us who oppose him. We don't have time for self-flagellation. We are trying to fix this.
With a superior military we are blessed that casualties are minimal, and it’s rare to lose an aircrew. But when you do it cuts deep and hurts…. Especially as a former aircrew member. Today we honor the 6 who lost their lives in Iraq. Nickel in the grass brothers and sisters.

That Hesgeth's Department of War continues any attempt to think longterm about the effects of bombing a country, any consideration of how it will respond, and how that response will impact the economy, politics, etc., as "woke" nonsense is actually existing Idiocracy.
The greatest trick the wealthy elite has pulled is convincing the working class that they need a wealthy elite, but the wealthy elites don't need them.
MAGA’s push to ram through the most restrictive voter suppression bill ever considered by Congress is coming to a head. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

“You better give Melanie some type of award for her musical, or else.” — Senile Satan
Explain it to me like I’m five… 🤬
We’re all brainwashed to some degree. We’re just numb to the bullshit. We completely let it go that this crazy person faked his assassination attempt. Everyone knows it.
Sen. Warnock: “Despite launching a new war in the Middle East, President Trump has not taken his eye off the ball—
He’s still determined as ever to complete his goal of kicking millions of Americans off of their health care”
Trump’s failure to secure the Strait of Hormuz and his plea for help are yet another example of ‘Make America Look Stupid Again’.
Neither the US nor Israel has the naval capabilities to ensure the world’s oil supply.
Without consulting anyone, they broke it, and are now relying on others to fix it.
Buttigieg: "Trump's political operation was raising money off images at a dignified transfer. Any politician who does that has no business leading American troops into war. If the president is willing to raise campaign funds over the bodies of America's war dead, he's unfit to be commander in chief"
If Trump wants more than strategic advice from Europe on the Strait of Hormuz, the price should be a gigantic US military aid package for Ukraine to compensate for the additional oil revenue Russia is receiving due to the Iran War.
Military aid. Not defence contracts paid by Europe.
I'm not a military historian, but I'd imagine they'd agree we haven't seen a "victory" like this before
What I always hear: “We can’t afford to pay our workers more than $15 an hour.”
What I never hear: “We can’t afford to pay our CEO millions of dollars a year.”
Funny how that works.
