One of my biggest points on why I love Linux is that it was a hobby I completely dug into myself, and formed my *own* opinions on.

SO many get mad at people doing and/or feeling different things, especially in a tech & Linux space. It's annoying and sad, honestly.

People often live around the idea that the 'terminal is necessary' or that 'Linux is harder by default'.

Honestly, I'd rather say it's different and excels in other areas, while falling behind in others.

It's more of a works for you, and if it does, I'm happy!

I'm a indoor person with a fan attached to my desk, and I have to have it flowing toward me at all times. Crazy wicked, the heat out here!

No doubt, and I feel you. It's almost like, the stimulant can feel pointless without enough sleep; as it can knock me out if I'm too tired and/or generally just leave me agitated.

Big same. I'm gonna talk to my psychiatrist about something for sleep, especially because I take an ADHD stimulant that lasts about 14 hours.

I remember reading about BTRFS on Windows, but afaik that is anything *but* reliable. This would be very nice to have, honestly.

If you're looking for nerd fonts (genuinely no idea, just shooting in the dark, here) there is this script I use *often* on github to just select a nerd font and quickly install it via CLI.

Works good, seems safe and I use it frequently.

I do basic Ai/ML work on my desktop, and I mean *very* basic. Gemma3 in Alpaca and some more advanced features in some software that require cuda.

We'll see with time, though. NVIDIA is rapidly changing their minds on open source, so, we'll see!

I'd love to use the NOVA NVIDIA driver on Fedora, but afaik, there is no cuda support, so it's basically a no-go for me.

Most of my beginner Linux friends run Bazzite, as well as a few who just prefer it be very, very simplistic. To me, I'd find an immutable distro a bit more annoying, just due to my knowledge of basic Linux already.

An immutable distro would make what I do just take extra steps for... little gain.

I made some bad calls and bad moves, mostly out of bad mental health and untreated illness, but that is all covered and managed as an adult now.

I'll ALWAYS make sure to take the time I need, whether offline or online.

Twitter was never good, I was just a dumbass kid who was doing what they thought every adult grew up to do.

Honestly... am I the only one glad it's not? This isn't perfect; far from it, but it's a genuinely solid foundation for a 'general' social media.
