I’ll be talking about this later, but basically Disney and Pixar were in a feud at the time and it was a few years before Disney owned them.

So, we looked into Tantor, wondering why he's okay. It's because in the books, "Tantor" is just the gorillas word for "elephant," referring to the species. Tantor in the movies is an original character.

I’m not sure if he’s saying it was planned… just that he wouldn’t put those two in the same game.

So! I’ve heard this before, but couldn’t find a source for it. If you could provide one, I would include it.
