I have volunteered in both countries. I enjoy talking to people no matter where they are from, and I like helping people no matter who they are.

I need to prove my ability explicitly. For example, I need to let people know that I have launched public lectures, live events, and exhibitions in both China and the UK.

I need to explain that my ex is not Chinese. I don’t understand why people are surprised by that. There are wars going on right now, with little hope of ending soon. That is what we should truly be surprised about.
I need to explain that my landlord can speak Mandarin, but she is not Chinese.

I need to explain that not everyone from my country likes to travel alone. That is simply my preference.

I need to explain that my tutors in China are brilliant, and they can teach philosophy and art history from the West as well as other countries.
I don’t understand why people are surprised when I cook non-Chinese food, like mashed potato.

I need to explain that I have close friends from all over the world. I think all of them are nice and brilliant, whether they are from China, the UK, India, or Japan.
