im down with any recs and im LA so im sure they prolly have it

i did see we had a GIANT german film section so i’d happily take some recs! one of my favorite german movies is Run Lola Run (1998) (experimental german thriller huge recommend)

i’m gonna do a new kino cinema corner where i pull 3 random movies that look interesting off the foreign film section in the LA library because i have access to a bunch of films i wouldn’t otherwise. not just Japanese films but well i’m an otaku and like Japanese cinema too so lol.

This was a completely random pull from the library Japanese film section, the advertisement made it seem like a black comedy so I was floored by how much I liked this movie.

Watched Miss Zombie (2013) directed by SABU, a dystopian horror arthouse film about a future in which they’ve domesticated zombies. This is a film about silent abuse women face and being robbed of your autonomy + place in the world. I was very taken by the cinematic direction and low dialogue. 5/5.

okay like I just watched FNAF 2 with friends and not to be that oomf but I was stunned by yuri moments with the security officer woman and the marionette girl. i don’t know FNAF. their pg-13 use of gore was fun, a guy’s head got crushed it was awesome.
