Now, seeing as Verizon got a new CEO recently, I'd like to ask @dan-schulman.bsky.social if he would be able to help. Please, I've tried to contact normal customer support, and yet I have gotten nothing but deflections, and have had to run in circles for months now.

Everytime I have contacted either Google or Verizon, they have both told me that the other company could help. However, I place blame on Verizon, since this issue with OEM unlocking seems exclusive to phones sold by Verizon. Verizon's calls after the FCC complaint always came at inconvenient times.

Even if you're low profile, don't announce it. Tell some people over secured messaging if you really need to, but don't announce it until you are out and free from the hellhole. Being low profile just means that your disappearance will be less noticed.
