06.04.2025 00:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If anybody thinks that Survivor must, in its 48th season, be past its prime, watch last nightβs episode. Not only the most moving episode of this series, but the best thing Iβve seen on Tv in the last year.
28.03.2025 00:33 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There's better advice coming from The Onion than from the White House these days.
27.03.2025 05:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I was reviewing disclosure in a drug trafficking case yesterday. Much of it was communications between drug dealers and customers on Signal.
If it's good enough for keeping your crack deals secret, it's good enough for highly sensitive national security discussions.
When will Google and Apple start recognizing that the so-called "Gulf of Maine" is actually the Gulf of Canada?

13.02.2025 18:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Does anybody else find it jarring that Elon Musk speaks in front of the President, in the Oval Office, and refers, without any sense of irony at all, to the federal bureaucracy being βan unelected fourth branch of governmentβ?
13.02.2025 18:18 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm watching Donald Trump's post-inauguration "speech" in the Emancipation Hall. If this rambling diatribe is any indication of what to expect in the next 4 years, things are going to be worse than we could have possibly imagined. He is an angry, vengeful narcissist.
20.01.2025 18:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Somebody needs to tell Donald Trump that, if his insane idea to make Canada the 51st state had come true, there is no way he would have been elected President.

05.12.2024 08:00 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Canada Post has had to keep the same infrastructure, including high payroll, despite the fact that we don't use the mail nearly as much. So much of what we used to mail can be submitted online now - for example, we receive and pay our bills online.
01.12.2024 16:54 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0In remote communities there are no alternatives to Canada Post. In Inuvik in the NWT, e.g., there are no couriers, even Amazon relies on Canada Post. There are many places in Canada whose populations are too small and/or too remote to support private couriers.
01.12.2024 16:54 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0What Canada Post workers don't seem to accept is that they work for a corporation that is operating at a massive deficit, given the alternatives to mail, and which cannot afford their demands. Sadly remote communities that rely heavily on Canada Post, such as in the north, are being hit really hard.
01.12.2024 07:31 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0This ought to raise a few eyebrows - except Matt Gaetz's, of course, because his eyebrows have already been surgically lifted to maximum height.
26.11.2024 06:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Those look perilously close to falling upside-down onto the floor, with the package splitting open and the food soaking up whatever it rolls around in over there. Speaking from experience.
