It's insane how much my life improved once I stopped participating in any part of Thanksgiving/Xmas that require you to spend money or go somewhere that you don't really want to go to.

Out of curiosity I looked it up because of a year+ of friends containing about how high all yhe rents have gotten. I saw it top of a list last week.

But it's currently #1 on the list of least affordable cities for renters... so yeah.

Yeah. I never thought I'd say it but if I had my choice of all the places I've lived... I'd be in PVD right now.

I miss the era of sitcoms where someone had super powers because they were an alien/robot/ghost.

I remember being terrified of this scene as a little kid. Although for some reason, Superman III was my most rewatched Superman movie back then. I think because I was obsessed with Richard Pryor's character.

Also, this isn't me talking shit, I say it with love because seeing people post about it in the first place made me smile. A lot of places I've lived have been cool, but PVD is home. I miss being there and miss being around the people who are still there.

A reminder to touring bands that setting off the venue's fire alarm with your fog machine [or sometimes just the volume level of your amps] is the most Providence experience you could have.
