Green MP @sianberry.bsky.social was applauded for her contribution on #BBCQT last night on the war in Iran
“This war has been no help to the people of Iran. It risks leaving them in a more destabilised country with a worse regime.”
Siân Berry discussing the conflict in Iran on #BBCQT.
“He should be ashamed and he should resign.”

Our dependency on fossil fuels makes us vulnerable. Wars across the world are pushing up prices for households in the UK.
Why keep waiting for the next crisis? We need to transition to clean power as fast as we can to protect people and our economy.

Can't help but worry for the future of the King's Rd paddling pool, which could be at risk as councillors consult on the site's future use.
Keen to work with the council to help find whatever funding is needed to keep this free, safe and beloved seafront space.

As illegal international aggression once again highlights the need for investment in renewable energy, it is crucial the govt do everything possible to protect households from bearing the brunt of surging energy prices - and to ensure no energy company profits from this war.
Very excited to be appearing at Wembley Arena tomorrow night as part of Trans Mission.
100 per cent of the profits raised will be split between Not a Phase and the Good Law Project.

Today I asked ministers to deny* that the number of jury acquittals in protest cases was a factor in the Government’s dangerous attack on jury trials.
*They did not do this
It was a privilege to be in the chamber earlier to witness this incredibly powerful and effective speech from Charlotte Nichols.
🚨We have tabled an amendment to reject the Government’s sinister attempt to remove jury trials including for many protest related offences.
Our civil liberties have already been eroded by this Govt and should not be limited any further.
Greens are standing up against Labour's toolkit for tyrants.
Paul Carruthers of Gender Plus: "NHS England's interpretation of the evidence is in contrast to every reputable expert body in the field of transgender healthcare and, as such we will assess their policy document and evidence-based review to better understand how they arrived at this decision."
You can read it online here including its glorious Clause 1:
“Everyone has the right to breathe clean air and the Human Rights Act 1998 is to be read as though this were a separate Convention right.”

International Women’s Day stands for “Rights, Justice, Action”. Yet we’re increasingly seeing it framed around a very different idea: “Give to Gain”.
Women’s rights shouldn't be reduced to corporate slogans. Real progress requires structural change not marketing campaigns.

I am so proud to have introduced this Bill to Parliament last year with cross-party support.
I am determined to see Ella’s Law voted on and passed through Parliament, and I strongly urge the Govt to adopt it in the upcoming King’s Speech.
Whatever it takes, this vital Bill must become law.
Ella’s Law has been published 👏
No child should have the growth of their lungs stunted because of dirty air where they live and play, yet this is the reality of air pollution in England. Ella’s Law would change this.
My thanks to Rosamund and all the hard-working campaigners demanding change.
We've just hit 215,000 members.

If you are visiting glorious Brighton on this sunny day (as you definitely should), please be aware that at Churchill Square this van is live scanning everyone’s faces and making the city look more like a police state than the gorgeous day out it is!
2nd poll within the week puts Greens in second place, well ahead of both Labour and Tories (the first was YouGov's weekly poll that had Greens on 21% with Tories/Lab on 16% and Reform on 23%).
I’m in Brighton Pavilion, Rob.
Beautiful from Private Eye on the massive toddler-tantrum that Matt Goodwin and Reform are having, because they got whooped in Gorton and Denton.
“When it was Reform winning, he treated those voters with respect”
Excellent points here about why Greens are surging and why the Labour leadership and the Conservatives are losing the plot. www.thenewsagents.co.uk/article/why-...
The Chancellor had a lot to say to me about Greens today, but still could not admit that Labour is leaving over 200,000 children to suffer by keeping the overall benefit cap in place.
The govt must do more than express concern over the expansion of illegal Israeli settlements and settler violence in the West Bank - they must take action.
Ban trade with illegal settlements and impose new sanctions on Netanyahu and all responsible for this violence.
Plumber, Plasterer, Parliamentarian! 💚
Quick photocall then watching HANNAH OUR NEW GREEN MP getting sworn in - and my heart may burst. Thank you everyone who made this day happen! 💚💚👏👏🙏
"Trying to compete with Reform not only feels inauthentic... but a betrayal of what Labour is supposed to represent. We must address the concerns and fears of voters, not play on them."
Damning stuff from Sadiq Khan

“we produced videos in Urdu, because we believe that voters should be spoken to, not spoken about. Reaching out to communities in the languages they use at home is not division; it is democracy.”
