β¨ On this day 68 years ago (4 October), the Soviet Union launched #Sputnik 1: the worldβs first artificial satellite. Orbiting Earth approx. every 98 minutes, it marked a pivotal moment in the Space Race and a defining chapter in the history of Jodrell Bank.
