i’ve really enjoyed watching as a neutral observer. kinda feels like a weight off my shoulders

not really that active lol. i forget about the app most of the time and when i remember, i come here to get out my long winded thoughts lol

my mavs fandom was bc of dirk and i stuck around bc of the sense of LOYALTY he instilled in the org. they broke that and that’s what tainted my link to the org. idk how that link will be repaired for me

i evaluated my sports fandom as a whole and i couldn’t imagine dropping the liberty (for eg) even tho i feel some type of way about org/fan relationships. had to really think about it and i actually figured out my issue this time lol

after more reflection, i still feel this way but i was wrong for attributing it to why i’m good on the mavs rn bc that’s not the reason

there have been like 10 bad things that have happened since i last updated this…that franchise is doomed and ruined.

and now they’re running that shit like a dictatorship. feel bad for the locals. as long as they have this setup, they will never get another cent or sliver of support from me. i really mean that

the dude they sold their soul for out after barely 3 quarters. i’m telling y’all…hand to heart, there is a bad energy around this franchise right now. extremely bad energy.

if i didn’t absolutely hate everyone on the other app rn i’d do a space or something to let this all out

yeah i don’t want to be apart of this at all. this idea that they can do whatever and we have to just sit there and take it and pour our money and support into them bc that’s what a real “fan” does…idk i don’t want any parts of that

i can’t speak for anybody else other than myself so i honestly don’t want how i’m feeling roped in with others bc this isn’t even about luka like that for me. the franchise feels dirty to me now. i feel dirty for even thinking about rooting for them in this current state

folks are doing the “it’s not that deep” shtick but i genuinely believe that whole situation is a microcosm of the state of affairs in society. i can’t explain it all here but this was very much “know your place” from all angles

it’s a shame we retired the pod bc i feel like i know how to articulate my thoughts now on the mavs. the final one we did was more raw but i know exactly how i feel now and how to say it

she’s will be going but will she stay…that’s TBD

i’m not done with basketball btw. the mavericks just lost a fan in me. will probably be a better viewing experience for me to just watch hoops without a true rooting interest. we’ll see how that goes
