This is awful!!
This makes me so nervous. My hubby has worked as a fire lookout every season for 20 years. He is 75 and this supplements our SS income. Yikes!!! And where we live fires are a true and present danger.

You will read countless times today that the LA mayor cut the LA Fire Department's budget by $23 million.
That is a lie.
The budget was actually *increased* by $50 million.
The Palisades Fire burning outside of Los Angeles has now burned nearly 16,000 acres, according to the latest estimate by CalFire.
That’s an increase of 4,000 acres – or 34% -- in the past two hours. There is 0% containment.
