#Malpractice shows just how necessary Mother and Baby mental health units (MBUs) are. Northern Ireland is the only part of the UK without an MBU. We can't wait for a tragedy like this before we fund an MBU.

I'm here in my capacity as Northern Ireland consultant for Action on Postpartum Psychosis. Malpractice raises vital awareness, but we need to stress that infanticide is extremely rare. Unfortunately suicide is the biggest cause of maternal death.

Conference board of sign with text 1 in 5 women experience a maternal mental health problem. Could be much high due to masking and fear of disclosure. Awareness of MBRACE statistics and the need to have a coordinated supportive approach to women with additional needs and barriers needs focus and assessment. #SupportingWomenReducingStigma The logos of Mas and WRDA are on the right

It's #MaternalMentalHealthWeek and we need to talk about this more. #Malpractice on @ITV shows even professionals don't know enough, so I'm excited hear more at this WRDA Mas Project #SupportingWomenReducingStigma event

Forgot to post my thanks to amazing disability assistance person at Heathrow. And to really helpful @BritishAirways cabin crew. View landing in London was magical. #DisabilityTravel

It's farewell Belfast for a few days. Just had a fascinating convo with my #DisabilityAssistance aid David who explained how planes are cleaned inside and out. Belfast City Airport's disability crew are amazing. #DisabilityTravel

It seems bizarre to look back now and remember how newsrooms were basically giant ashtrays. As a never-smoker I've no idea how I got through those days of colleagues with a ciggie hanging out of their mouth brushing ash off the mounds of paper on their desks onto the floor.

Accidentally sent without alt text. Liz looks at the camera smiling in front of empty plane seats. She is wearing a sunflower lanyard.

Very excited to be off to Sydney to see my friends and family. It's my holiday between caring for my mum. And @jetstarairways.bsky.social #DisabilityAssistance has been fantastic. Moved my seat to the front and welcomed me on board to explain nearby loos, exits and personal cabin crew assigned to me

Liz is a middle aged woman with light brown hair pulled back and grey glasses. Her head is close to her Mum, an older lady with short grey hair. Both have happy smiles. Behind them is a large photo of Liz's Dad.

I'm so lucky to be able to work from Australia for a few weeks so I can spend time with my Mum. Love this photo with Dad's picture photobombing us. Miss him so much.

When you need #DisabilityAssistance to travel. You appreciate it so much. All the staff so far have been amazing. Yes, you wait a bit but almost everyone who wheels me around is amazing and that's really been the case today. #ThankYou

My rescue pup Stella met her twin brother today and I'm all emosh. They are alike in every way - including a tendency to run away. So grateful to Lost Paws NI who found them both, and so glad Turnip's mum Jane tracked me down.

I've had conflicting advice. There's no way to prove you are a citizen without your passport or some other form of ID. I had
My driving licence which has an NI address so it might have worked. There's no hard border with Northern Ireland so it's never been an issue for me so I've never looked it up!

Christmas baking done and wrapped for the neighbours. Presents wrapped and under the tree. Ham baking. Pavlova still a twinkle in a chicken's eye. There's hours until bedtime. Aren't there?

Been feeling bleugh all week so have left all the Christmas baking icing to the last minute. Of course now I feel worse and have run out of icing sugar. The neighbours might be getting very late, very naked gingerbread men!

Much better to adopt a rescue if people can. They'll be told if the animal has behavioural difficulties from abuse and you'll be avoiding puppy farms. Merry Christmas from Stella who lived a terrible life for a year before she was rescued.

Languages were never my forte. I spoke Marathi before I spoke English but lost it all when I went to Australia for a year when I was two and never had an ayah to speak it with on my return to India and wasn't encouraged to pick it up again. I wish I had. I understand a bit still.
