Just to add to this…Trump’s policies are directly leading to more animals in need. People have less money to adopt or cover costs; animals of people deported or put into camps are abandoned; war in various regions will create more abandoned and stray animals. This is performative activism at best.

Making this about class is very problematic, because men at every economic class get away with this type of abuse. Plenty of youth pastors being exposed, day care workers, etc. The big issue is that men (and sometimes women) protect other men from accountability.
