I thought Sam Field had been doing well, but then Mattson comes on, just as good at the defensive work, and also pings Kenny-style crossfield passes. He really is the full package at this level.
whisper it quietly
Top half here we come!
Good performance all round. Should have also had a pen.
Commentators said Blades dominated first half but i don't agree. We weren't great but they created fuck all.
Sadly coz the teams at the top have been playing so well, the gap to the playoffs hasn't really changed.
Tell you what, reckon Spurs need Clement.
You can't have him.
Well, they were always going to vote for it. Even though it's a stupid idea.
"We called London a war zone and moved to Dubai by mistake"
Surprising. They looked the real deal that game. Funny old game.
I think the difference in times means if he can do that, he will be our greatest ever manager. Staying in the Prem without a billionaire owner thesedays is virtually impossible - and even with billionaire owners it's no guarantee. But hey, it'd be a nice debate to have :-)
Pleased to hear Chrisene wasn't injured at the weekend. From a slow start, I think he's steadily improved. He's now a decent Championship LB and at only 22 there's still room to improve further.
Great player, tho could only make diagonal runs
Spurs vs Lincoln in the Champ. next season is becoming more of a reality every week.. π
They should be charged a proper commercial rate. They chose to move out there after all.
Overly so I think. Yes, Clement is a genius, but honestly I can't see our threadbare squad with its lack of quality in key areas doing anything against a Leeds side that has competed in the Prem this season.
I don't like to kick a club when they're down, but I thought Leicester were one of the poorest sides I've seen all year - only WBA (2nd half) and Sheff Wed were worse. The quality they've got and yet they looked utterly lost. Shows how much elite sport is in the mind as much as the feet
*also, Webber, not Farke π
Got to be in the running for Player of the Season. Not for any particular outstanding contribution, but to be an ever-present in the engine room when younger men are being rested after a 70 minute shift is damned impressive
It's waaaay too early and I'm definitely not going to over-react... but he does kinda seem like the greatest manager of all time, right? To take us from where we were to the best team in the league. That's more impressive than winning the Champions League #DontOverreact #NCFC
Feels harsh moaning when we win 0-2, but thought the ref was pretty poor
Indeed!
Agree. Thought they were poorest team I've watched this season bar West Brom and Sheffield Wed
Broken record, I know, but it is simply remarkable what Clement has achieved. This team is organized, committed, creative, defensively solid, and all with what, 14 first team injuries?
Best team in Champ in 2026 after the direst possible start to the season. 11 points clear. Build the statue. #ncfc
To be fair, I think some of the Sargent money was already spent in January. Not sure much more will be spent. Summer more about outgoings and keeping hold of people.
For the quality they have, Leicester were poor. We deserved that win. They created nothing really.
Nah, but mid-table security will do given how we were!
Also, I loved how how he was trying so hard to score his first goal on Wednesday night. But he's never going to. That's his destiny.
On the one hand, I definitely don't think he's premier league level
On the other hand, I absolutely love his baby-faced aggression
So on both hands, I concur.
I don't care. If i never hear from him again, I won't be sad.
I guess the season - and the awful circumstances - takes its toll in multiple ways. Good luck, hope a new buyer is found soon.
