When was the last time a party of the right was encouraged to select a leader that could appeal to the left?

Yet every time a party of the left has a leadership race, being able to appeal to the right is supposedly massively important.

Today women MPs wore Suffragette sashes to celebrate Votes for Women–won by civil disobedience & celebrated in Parliament's gift shop.

And yet now the government is asking us to vote to proscribe Palestine Action–a modern civil disobedience group–as terrorists

Any Labour MP who backs Starmer on the Welfare Bill deserves all of the hatred they have coming.

Fuck the soulless morally bankrupt scum who support this.

I marched in 2003, and I will march again.

In these worrying and turbulent times, Zack is unflinching in speaking the truth with clarity and conviction that the green party is the only viable alternative. His message is inspirational, believable and feels wholly achievable.

Wanted to add, that at a local level, we at Maidstone have 10 elected borough councillors, and one county councillor.

Our "power" wouldnt exist without every single member.

I am no more important than any other member in my party just because I'm elected.

There are 2 previous historical cases of countries destroying their science and universities, crippling them for decades: Lysenkoism in the USSR and Nazi Germany. The Trump administration will be the 3rd.
It's not just budgets but research, institutions, expertise, and training the next generation.

Yes! What I admire in politicians is actual hands on hard work.

Words mean nothing if you aren't also on the ground, meeting the people you represent, working in the communities you want to help, supporting causes that will bring a real change to people's lives, and Zack does that!

No. Zero Reform MPs voted against the cap in July.

Green MPs put it in our costed manifesto, signed the motion, and voted to scrap it. Actions not words.

Today’s L&SERWFL Trophy final between Dulwich Hamlet Women Reserves and Clapton CFC Women was abandoned with Clapton winning 2-0 after fans from both clubs refused to remove Palestine flags and a banner reading “Show Genocide The Red Card”. We want to unequivocally state our support for the fans of both clubs who refused to bend to the demands of final hosts Maidstone United FC, and every player who refused to play if the flags and banners were removed. The facts in Gaza are clear and widely accepted: the death toll in Gaza since October 2023 is estimated to be over 54,000; a United Nations Special Committee and Amnesty International have both concluded that the state of Israel is perpetuating a genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza; this week the UK government issued a joint statement with the leaders of France and Canada calling on the Israeli Government to stop its military operations in Gaza. Sport has long played an important role in putting pressure on governments perpetrating human rights abuses, from South Africa during the apartheid era to Russia since its invasion of Ukraine. Those who argue that political protest does not belong in sport are either ignorant or are deliberately ignoring that history. This is particularly true in the women’s game — access to the game has always been political, and even now, women continue to fight for the right to play football. We don’t protest at our games because we think one protest in a regional football competition will change what is happening in Gaza. But we do it knowing that every protest joins a drumbeat of defiance that is slowly convincing the world it cannot ignore the daily murders perpetuated by the state of Israel. We are, for the avoidance of any doubt, against genocide, against anti-Semitism, against Islamophobia, and against prejudice in all its forms. Maidstone has a lot to be proud of when it comes to Women's football, so yesterday's events at the Gallagher Stadium leave me hugely disappointed.

I'm so proud of both the Clapton & Dulwich players and fans, who despite it all stood together in solidarity.
