Like honestly Iโve been covering Koei and Hack N Slash games professionally for 15 years now.
Part of me would really love to write a book detailing the history and development of the PS2 KOEI Titles

Iโm going to be optimistic and say we are getting a remastered collection , instead of a single remastered Dynasty Warriors Game for the 25th Anniversary.

I do believe that Koei should be paying more attention to dubs especially in non English speaking countries, it would have been nice to see Dynasty Warriors Origins have a Korean Dub or even a Traditional Chinese Dub (on consoles)

Koei stopped localisations for DW7 & 8 but brought it back for 9 and Origins
I managed to get my hands on an extremely rare copy of Dynasty Warriors 5 for the Korean Domestic Market.
Dynasty Warriors is incredibly popular in South Korea with most of the KOEI games getting full localisations as well as Dubs provided by KBS actors
I got food poisoning that lead to a severe stomach infection,Hence why there is a lack of podcast episodes recently
They are on a scheduler for now but I need to rest for the next few weeks
This DW episode is going to be my last episode until TGS (rest will be prerecorded)

Sorry no stream this weekend โฆ Iโve been barely recovering from what I can only describe as food poisoning from the local chippy.

Iโm not going to lie on my most recent trip to Japan, I actually hated Akihabara, itโs not how it used to be.
I much prefer Den Den Town in Osaka, less sketchy and better retro game finds/ prices
When I was in Tokyo in Feb I did manage to find most of the Warriors Games in Akihabara.
Itโs always been a running joke in older anime that Otaku are big fans of the Three Kingdoms. But itโs kinda true.
Akiba is the best place in Tokyo to find Musou games
Next time Iโm in Japan Iโll hunt for a Japanese copy of Kessen 3 to complete my treasure box edition !
Surprisingly Kessen 2 was difficult to find and so was the Treasure Box !
It seems like these older titles are near and dear to so many people
On my last trip to Japan I had purchased a mint condition version of Kessen 3 Treasure Box edition.
However opening the game up today it looks like it was missing the game disc.
The treasure box came with the Game Disc and a Mix Joy Disc (for bonus content/DLC)
The Japanese voices in Kessen 2 are great but not what I expected the English version opted to use the Dynasty Warriors Voice actors to reprise their roles
But it makes sense for them to use other VAs, Guan Yu sounds so much younger in Japaneseโฆ because he is young in this game
On the topic of Kessen 2 , the ใใ่ช Babigo (Japanese equivalent of Pig Latin) spoken during magic spells is the same as the English version.
Iโve noticed a few more differences that might want to discuss more on the stream this weekend
Also the story in the Japanese version of Kessen 2 is the same.
I always thought Diao Chan being LiuBeiโs love interest was a weird translation/localisation thing
The game is a lot more serious in Japanese vs English
So Japanese version of Kessen 2 is absolutely amazing , the controls are slightly different and doesnโt contain any ads for other Koei Games.
The subtitles also contain Furigana , which is good cause I suck at reading Kanji
