I don't spend time on Instagram, so I never saw the post. However, I do know that athletes are coached to stay away from political stuff and yes, while Dame did march with BLM, he hasn't done much since. Deni publicly expressed an unpopular, controversial opinion, which is very rare in sports.

But that's why Dame is talking about pilgrim outfits and not ICE. Deni is knowingly taking an opinion that's is very unpopular amongst the majority of people. His teammates are certainly aware of the flak he's taking and that's going to encourage them to avoid controversy.

Who expressed a real world POV? Deni. What happens? He gets ripped. That's why almost nobody is talking about politics / current events. They're being coached to steer clear.
