The additional costs for households and microenterprises are estimated at 5.2 bn €cumulatively (871 m € yearly). In terms of total costs (including the fuel prices), these can amount to 82.8 bn €,almost 13.7 bn € annually.

The housing pressure in the private rented sector is growing. We need clear policies to alleviate #energypoverty in the private rented sector, with fair distribution of costs and benefits to tackle split incentives between tenants and landlords. The #SocialClimateFund can set such policies! #EU

Alleviating #energypoverty requires collective bottom-up actions and strong energy efficiency initiatives. Check out an interesting example from rural energy poverty strategies in #Croatia from our #RENOVERTY project.

19% of households struggle to stay cool in summer and this number will increase. We don't discuss fuel switch or decarbonisation of heating, but rather efficient cooling systems, well insulated buildings and nature based solutions. Any good examples to share?
