You either die a JFK Jr. or live long enough to become an RFK Jr.

That last line is the point. She quits her job, furthers the nursing shortage, and care labor becomes more and more "free"

reading over Malliotakis v. Williams and lowkey think New York courts/the NY Redistricting Commission should be like...since the Supreme Court clearly lacked jurisdiction to intervene in the case at this time, we are treating it as the nonbinding advisory opinion that it is, thanks for the input tho

root causes of the world wars

world war 1: clash between imperialism and rising nationalist sentiment

world war 2: resentment from ww1 treaties, rising fascism

world war 3: feminist youtuber made a video saying lara croft should have smaller boobs

You have constitutional rights:
• DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR if an immigration agent is knocking on the door.
• DO NOT ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS from an immigration agent if they try to talk to you. You have the right to remain silent.
• DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING without first speaking to a lawyer. You have the right to speak with a lawyer.
• It you are outside of your home, ask the agent it you are free to leave and if they say yes, leave calmly.
• GIVE THIS CARD TO THE AGENT. If you are inside of your home, show the card through the window or slide it under the door.

When I was in New Hampshire a couple weeks ago, a local bar had printed these out, and also had a QR code for a site where people could report ICE sightings. Normal people trying to be good to one another (Mr. Rogers’ “helpers”) are keeping me sane.

This legitimately made my entire day, and again today when I was reminded of it. :)

I wish it were just this; their entire movement is oriented around hating women. 🙃

There are only two options here
1- people who live in built up areas subsidizing people in high wildfire risk areas (which to be fair is a combo of rich people and low income rural areas)
2- insurance fund goes bankrupt regularly and has to be bailed out by state general fund

100%. One of the secrets of European and Japanese transit and public space is that they're nice and people wouldn't be humblebragging/proud if they weren't

Waiting to get on the Staten Island ferry in a blizzard to pick up XC skis, and a woman at the terminal is telling us all about Jesus coming back.
