anyone else up missing voe
US media discourse treating US military casualties like the only deaths that matter in this IS making me lose my mind and I know it's nothing new at all but holy shit I would have lost my mind if I'd been old enough to understand what was going on in Dubya
I'm unsure if this makes Trials a retcon, or if the subsequent brush with the Nameless and its impact on the bond changed what messed with it, but for now, I call this a wash (which is a shame, considerin that scene is one of my favorite terekeeve bits, and having them alone would have been awesome)
However, in the next issue, we see Ceret explicitly confirming they're able to sense Terec, pretty unambiguously during hyperspace:
the long and short of it is that it's revealed in the trials of the jedi that going into hyperspace disrupts the bond between Terec and Ceret. By that logic, this is Keeve and Terec's first scene truly alone together.
the epic highs and lows of thinking I discovered a new terekeeve fun fact when I actually found a possible hole in the lore (or something to be expanded upon in the future!)

A show whose production cost was equal to the GDP of a few Outer Rim planets is really just backdrop for weirdos to scheme with each other.
for now, I think the most active participants in some form of rebellion that I have in the swapverse are:
-Fifth and Seventh
-Tualon
-Iskat (joins Tualon after empire attacks Pkori)
-Reva (goal here is still against Vader)
-Masana (keeping a young Reva safe gives her purpose)
Iskat feels complicated about Tualon’s goals, but she loves him, and believes in his/their ability to make a better Jedi Order, if they make it that far at all. Seventh agrees with Fifth on the fight against the empire taking priority for the two of them
Tualon’s priority is making a stand against the Empire for the Jedi (he’s this universe’s Cal analogue), whereas Fifth—while not opposed to the Jedi angle—is more about taking a stand against the Empire period, and the Jedi goal can spring from it later.
(fwiw, tualon doesn’t have the rosiest thoughts about the republic either especially as it relates to ryloth and worlds on adjacent axes of oppression, but he considers it the best banner to unite under now and the politicians can argue later. he—despite hating it—is a soldier)
tualon: well, we’re part of the alliance to restore the republic, yeah?
fifth: wait a fucking second
(really, this is fifth and tualon’s fight in this au, but seventh and iskat will put their time in to have their own convictions as well. this isn’t to say they don’t, but seventh’s original motivation was “I want something to burn” and iskat needed to soul-search first)
inquisitor swap au except that instead of fifth and iskat arguing about being inquisitors they’re arguing about the political principles of rebellion and how they choose to rebel
The worst-laid plans
(to be clear even if they are fucking I think they get something out of the relationship that isn’t that, and have posted about it at length, but that’s part of how I interpret what the two have going on)
usually with ships I’m fine if they’re not canon but I feel like they’re either fucking or if they’re not fucking they need to get SOMETHING important out of each other regardless—point is, you don’t consistently spend time together for nearly 20 years without a reason
tbh I think Seventh or Fifth should get the next red blade (or story that has a strong inquisitor focus/inquisitor protagonist) but any good story featuring either should also include the other as a strong supporting character and I will die on this hill
She’s not as talented as Iskat or calculating as Trilla or insightful as Masana, but she’s smart, ruthless, and grows *into* being an inquisitor and I really think she should be next up to get a proper story about her
Thinking about Seventh getting underestimated by the other inquisitors because she’s so jagged, but eventually the fact that she’s not going to buckle further under the weight of being an inquisitor shines through—she’s a *survivor* and wants to thrive

Here is my breakdown for the Star Wars: Maul - Shadow Lord teaser trailer!

Two bonuses:
1. She tends to get to the heart of a personality, resulting in character development or at least defining who they are
2. More Ninth Sister
I’m ngl this is a total baseless fantasy of mine but the best way we could crack into the new inquisitors’ personalities is if we threw the Ninth Sister at them
