Watching Functional Melancholic Youtube channel gives me both peace and dread. They can come together. It's dreadful, but it's calming. Quiet existential dread. He can touch my soul. I even made a subreddit.

It's egoistical to ask someone to LIVE for them. We are all about self care and independence, and doing what YOU want, but people are always "you need to live your whole life for OTHERS". Absurd.

Yeah, well, I do make that kind of stuff, but to get it out when the world doesn't want anything real and craves cheep bullshit - that's another matter. It's hopeless. It is.

I am so sorry. I feel the same. I love to meditate, but then I always remember how people say "take a comfortable position..." and I giggle... uncomfortably. There is no comfortable position. Not for sitting, not for sleeping, not for crying.

Its really not and its terrifying. Most people don't even believe in it.

Some people go too far with praising other's work. It leads to those "singers" on talent shows cheered up by their families while it ends up in the "worst singers" video. Same for books. Don't lie. Don't get blinded by love. It doesn't help them. Be honest in a kind way.

Marta Chowańska's novella "A Typical Old Fart" is bad. Very bad. That's it. Nothing to see here. If you hate reading, you won't write well. Period. Don't buy this book.

If it's not a very famous book, then yes. Some classics have that perfect score, but usually books with perfect 5 have very few reviews so not so many people read them. It also makes me think those are friends and paid ARCs.

In the light of the recent discussions, I wanted to say I am proud of how open my fictional societies are with sexual topics while not going into one big orgy, harems and exploitation. Just normalized free sexuality.

My books don't have reviews (in English, they do in Latvian), so I don't know to much, but I had a looong "review" in a literary journal from a prominent person attacking my LGBTQ+ characters and telling lies about my books. I know how it feels especially because she's famous.

But why do you assume everyone is just attacking people? Cannot there be an honest, but kind review with lower than 5* rating? Then why do we even have ratings at all if only 5* is acceptable? I honestly, sincerely don't understand.

That's what I thought and I didn't give a single negative opinion besides 3*, my review was only about the positives. But seems like anything but 5* is expected, and then I just don't see the reason to ARC read. I don't want to lie, and then I better pay for books and write what I really think.

I sincerely regret that I ever tried to participate in this thing. I hope you are ok and that people will be very kind to you.

We must be hidden in their bunkers for them to control and use, as they don't want free sexuality, they want hidden exploitation. They don't want to erase us, they want to own us for their pleasure while they pretend to be "holy" to the outside world.
