In talks with our ESRI sales rep, speaking of ArcGIS Desktop's future and how long it'll be for old shapefiles to stop being used and how that'll depend on government users. "Some necromancer at CalTrans is going to create shapefile zombies" was his input, and I love it!

All other "This Is Fine"-stuff going on aside, I'm starting to sketch together my plan to transition into travel agent career here as I get closer to retirement. A dream will definitely *stay* just a dream if you don't start taking steps to make it happen, so here I go.

I recall watching "My Beautiful Broken Brain", which he helped produce, after my brain injury and helped me process a lot of what was going on with my (literal) head. I'll miss his creative spark.
