If things don’t change majorly and quickly, I’m so worried HCBS will be completely eliminated and it kills me.

There are so many parts of Medicaid- waiver programs especially, people don’t realize. This is so fucking devastating

Behavioral/Mental health is already crazy difficult to get services, and will only get worse as it’s always the first thing dropped coverage wise.

Medicaid providers can’t bill costs to someone on Medicaid, which is the hurdle you are hitting.

It’s horrific. I work for a children’s hospital. The fact we have had to start training employees on how to handle ICE is abhorrent.

We serve a lot of immigrants, don’t ask about legal status, and are 80% Medicaid funded.

There is a genuine fear they are going to show up and traumatize us all

💔 I hate how hard it is to get needed meds and healthcare in this freaking country. And how damn expensive. It’s criminal 😭
