Very proud of this latest paper, which shows that reading two unrelated words in a meaningful sentence will push these words closer in semantic spaceβan effect observed 5min, 20min, and 12 hrs after initial exposure.

Experimental psychology friends! How do you handle critiques of your cross-sectional aging study during a job talk with suggestions to use longitudinal methods? Both have strengths & weaknesses (any suggested articles?). Comparing their similarities feels more useful than ranking one over the other.

Pretty much every good psychology essay includes a balance of theory and evidence. Sometimes it helps to reframe the question to make it clear that both are relevant.
I've created a starter pack with researchers who study #reading or #psycholinguistics, more generally, in #languages other than English: go.bsky.app/E2e9Afg. Please write to me if you or someone you know should be added (of if you've been added and would like to be removed)!
