Yeah, every time I saw him, including that night, the show and q&a was great. I think the "VIP" thing w/ forced interaction w/ his most parasocial fans, a caterer trying too hard to impress, and having just already left it all out there on stage made him uncomfortable.

i think something important to consider is what someone like Rene Redzepi and NOMA have always represented: unattainable and inaccessible food curated to appeal to the select few who could afford it and built on an almost never ending supply of free labor
