Ramon Ortiz baseball card.

New from the SABR Games Project: first-time SABR author Larry Rice remembers Ramon Ortiz’s home run and near no-hitter on Labor Day 2006 at RFK Stadium.

Stacy Bradley voted for President Trump because of his border policies, and she likes that he has restored β€œlaw and order.” But she is unsettled by one aspect of his immigration agenda.

Last month, the federal government bought a warehouse next to her cheerleading gym in Surprise, Ariz., which the administration plans to convert into a detention center for up to 1,500 immigrants.

Ms. Bradley, the co-owner of Woodlands Elite Cheer, said she worried that a detainee could escape, or that protests could break out. The children who train at her gym are as young as 3 and could see β€œpeople in shackles” next door, she said.

Google’s AI does have the correct answer to whether Mike Easler hit for the cycle, which suggests its ability to answer these questions correctly relies entirely on the existence of pertinent SABR Games Project articles.

Every guy who has confronted teens protesting ICE has completely embarrassed themselves. But even I didn’t think pissing your pants in public was possible.

Next Superbowl halftime should include a recreation of the confederate surrender at Appomattox while Jefferson Davis flees the scene dressed as an old lady.

A polaroid of me, Mickey Lolich, and my brother in 1984

Rest in peace Mickey Lolich.

This is when my brother and I met him at his Lake Orion donut shop in early 1984. He wasn't even at the shop that day but when we showed up they called him and he came in anyway because a couple of kids wanted to meet him. He was a hell of a nice guy.
