Writing, music, stuff. I write ttrpg's (Wulfwald) and fantasy fiction as Lee Reynoldson, as well as creating chill electronica as Hy Vyb.

Two L shaped panels in the style of a vintage comic book. The top left one represents an assembly of red robed cultists inside a huge temple adorned with monstrous horned statues. The bottom right one shows a warrior helping a guy out of a river where a purple monster is about to catch him with its tentacle. The settings looks swampy, with a building and a tower in the background lit by the moonlight.
Having fun with L shaped panels.

a delightful wimmelbild with hundreds of little figures and weird architecture.
A bigger slice of world.

I've realized what I'm trying to do with Project Bree-YARC is imagine what 3rd edition D&D would have looked like if it used BX as the baseline instead of AD&D. With my own assumptions on what the game should primarily be focused on: more exploration and discovery, less fighting.

16.07.2025 16:43 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0For me Advanced OSE, rather than trying to be a true AD&D clone, is approaching it the way us B/X kids approached it.
We ran the game on a B/X frame, but yoinked anything from the AD&D tomes we thought was fun or cool.
My buddy Jason interviews old school D&D legend, Zeb Cook! Check it out and give him a follow!

Nostalgia waves seeing that cover again.
We were lucky. There was a FLGS a short bus ride away in the nearby city.
It doesn't have a system, its a supplement to be played on top of old school rules. We used Holmes basic.
Wulfwald gives you an Anglo-Saxon-inspired setting, unique classes and peoples, multiple new ways of using magic (which are all way better than basic D&D), equipment lists etc.
Wulfwald is usable with the likes of OSE, so you can use ascending AC like a civilised person should you wish.

I'd love to say I've been practising my Anglo-Saxon diphthongs. I'd love to say that.
Very fun Wulfwald last night. Wrote an escort adventure. Culminated in fighting a metaphorical undead dream giant.
01.07.2025 06:51 — 👍 8 🔁 1 💬 1 📌 1Wulfwald is 'what if D&D were about being mercenaries for an ambitious Thane, rather than treasure hunting in dungeons' and I am so much happier playing in this space. We had like three political sub-plots going on, shit got messy real quick. I want to play more!

They were all Pete’s bits, of course.
But I wrote them down, typed them up and got them into print. He was Jack Kirby, I was Stan Lee. He was Bill Finger, I was Bob Kane.
I love Golden Heroes.
The campaign rules were ace, so were frames for combat, but writing back stories to explain the powers you rolled was the chefs kiss.
The first game I “designed” was a superhero game. Everyone else was a better DM than me,I wanted something to make me stand out. When I found Superhero 2044 I thought “that’s it”.
It was sh*t but when people complained I hacked Gamma World with a friend’s genius help it evolved into something good.
