What textbooks do you use to teach about #DevelopmentalLanguageDisorder #DLD?
What taxonomies do you know about which discuss child language disorders?
@ashajournals.bsky.social
Been reading quite a bit recently querying the need for diagnoses .
My thoughts: a diagnosis such as DLD is a short cut to general understanding but should not obscure our understanding of a person's individual strength and needs. #DevLangDis

Developmental Language Disorder has its own hashtag, #DevLangDis.
It hasn't been very busy on here yet, but start posting, searching and sharing so we can build our community and learn together. People with DLD, families and professionals together
Just under one month to go until #DLDday - it's our chance to raise awareness for people with Developmental Language Disorder. I'm delighted that 'Old Joe' clock tower at the University of Birmingham will be lit up in purple on the 18th October for the 4th year running! #DevLangDis
Still looking for families with children born between March & June 2020 to take part in our BICYCLE #study looking at #talking and #thinking skills.
Over 100 participants so far. More families from SouthWest England and East Midlands particularly needed so that we get a good spread.
