Wealthy Dubai residents race back to UAE to avoid tax bills Some risk spending too few days in the emirate and too many in the UK

Tax exiles stuck in London desperately trying to get *back* to Dubai to avoid becoming tax resident in the UK? Just great stuff. giftarticle.ft.com/giftarticle/...

This is a good analogy. Very useful in carefully controlled settings for specific usages, but unfortunately being widely inserted into everything and used without training or PPE and poisoning a lot of things and people and we’re going to pay a tonne of money to remove it safely in the future

As a hard working British person, can I please ask politicians to stop speaking for me? Some people can’t work, others aren’t allowed to. I don’t mind my taxes being used to support these people!

The world is in a perilous state. But there's a new issue of Viz on sale today, and while that may not particularly alleviate geopolitical tensions, at least it probably won't make them very much worse

A lot of people say AI isn't very good for the world and its outputs are routinely unreliable, but these haters fail to see how it's revolutionizing how we incinerate schoolchildren.

China spying arrests raise awkward questions about Labour Party links Sir Keir Starmer’s government is trying to deepen economic ties with Beijing

Ooft! Joani Reid claimed: β€œI am not part of my husband’s business activities.” However, two of her husband's consultancy businesses gave her consultancy business interest free loans with no fixed repayment terms.

After losing in court one can now safely mention that the MΓΌller brand of milk products is owned by an AfD (Germany's officially declared "extreme right wing" party) supporting billionaire. Whose giant family relocated to Switzerland in 2003 btw, to avoid 30% inheritance tax when he passes.

We must also confront how our third sector has become institutionally corrupted to the point where it sides with SNP ministers instead of standing with women and girls

Once again remember the following:

Rich people aren't where money comes from, they are where money accumulates and where, if not taxed back into the economy, it gets stagnant and useless.

We're spending money on war and AI and not hospitals because that's what rich dickheads want.

Mothers campaign group to leave Newham flats Members of a women's group occupying flats in a council estate near east London's Olympic Park are told by a court to leave the premises.

"Sir" Robin Wales is the guy who tried to force a bunch of single mothers living in temporary accommodation to move miles away from Newham - the Focus E15 campaign

They then occupied social housing that had been left empty for years on his watch www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-engl...

Iran war heralds era of AI-powered bombing quicker than β€˜speed of thought’ Speed and scale of US military’s AI war planning raises fears human decision-making may be sidelined

This is horrifying because it implies the Iranian school mistargeting was down to Claude layer in Palantir systems. What’s more horrifying is that if the rest of the article is accurate AI was a massive force multiplier for US/Israel strikes.
