We are seeing the blurring of the lines of threat versus dissidence. We are going from rationalizing violent actions to justifications due to a perceived threat. This paves the way to the mindset that violent acts by agents is not only justified but warranted.

The right wing in the US has been complaining the Pope and the one before him as being left wing, did they ever wonder why that is? Could it be because they have moved so far to the right that the Pope and the Catholic Church is now to the left?
