Unfollowing everyone I agree with here. I'm getting sick of nodding. It's hurting my neck.

Very happy I got my "self-hosted" website up with an actual webpage this time (tried it in like 2021, but it was a single line html). But now it's time to actually learn what I need and set up the site to make it useful beyond hosting links. Make a blog, a gallery, some useful instances, etc.

The internet is 200000x better now cause I'm healthy enough to not write 20,000 word essays on why dubs are bad. Now they're only 5000 words.

I really want to do a longer comic with Steve Giles. Got the ideas bubbling. I was surprised with the first comic with how it impacted people and made them emotional. I want to maintain my same working goals as last time, where I'm not striving for that, but I still want to poke a certain archetype.

I feel weird about creating art I can't share with certain friends... Maybe some would like it, I don't know...

Wish I had that super power that allowed me to read more than 4 comics a day or more than 30 minutes of shows or games when I have the time, which I kinda do.

As I'm about to open the door, I look up at the omni-pride flag, and give myself optimism for the future. This comic's going to be just fine. I know it.

I bring it to the counter along with my pulls for the week. "That's probably the best comic made for pride month ever" the owner says as he rings me up. I leave slightly defeated at the loss of $8 for the special.

There I stand, pride month comic special in hand in the comic store. Customers, employees, and the owner staring at me. I open to the first page and read the premise. It's dogwater. But it's too late, I can't put it back in the shelf else everyone will shake their heads at me.

What I'm getting from this is a parasocial story and how that affects the audience and the subject of the parasocialism. maybe that's a bit of a personal takeaway from this, but I've felt and seen in friends what I'm seeing in Cherry. Gotta read more into the comic though.

From like page 3 onward, there's so much tension. Really addicting read cause I was so worried for Cherry and Josie and even Gio. Def need to decipher it a bit further.

We need a RateMyProfessor but for our parents.

I hate when someone interprets the opposite of what I've said and I make them offended. Then even if we sort things out, I still feel like I've done something wrong or have twisted the meaning of what I said in my own head to better unoffend them.

But making all these individual series written by different authors all work together as a set universe... Idk what to think of it, weird that DC and Marvel fell into that so early, and I'd like to know the reason for it.

I've been trying to read most From the Ashes 616 X-Men comics that have been getting released. Only really got into comics last year. But it is fascinating reading these stories that all reference and are about post Krakoa, when I never that arc.

Mid 2010's political Tumblr was mostly early 20s and teenagers. BS discover tab seems to be 30s to 50s. I don't think Tumblr people grew into these BS people cause I feel a lot of Tumblr people got sick of politics. But I do feel the Tumblr migration radicalized the old people on Twitter though.
