I guess it would be a shame if outlets kept reposting and reporting on the six hours of video depositions.

The answer is as obvious as nose on your face, @pogo.org
GHOST OF CRICKET: Oftentimes, to win us to our harm, the instruments of darkness tell us truths.
One Sunday, I was getting ready for Mass and running late (as usual). VP Cheney was explaining to Tim Russert that the American military would be “greeted as liberators”. I screamed at the TV, “BY WHOM?!? ASK BY WHOM, TIM!!!”
“History repeats itself, first as tragedy, then as farce.”

The bravest person in Congress is Democratic Rep. Al Green. He always speaks truth to power as he did last night during the fascist State of the union holding up a sign to Trump's face that read "BLACK PEOPLE AREN'T APES!" He was ejected from the State of the Union for daring to defy Trump!
Apparently because of a severe self-consciousness about public speaking, Thomas Jefferson simply wrote his address and sent it over to Congress.
Presidents did it that way until Thomas Woodrow Wilson went back to personally delivering in front of Congress.
Respectfully, I think there is a significant divide between how elected Dems in Washington, and elected Dems in the rest of the country, are viewing this. I would not presume that DC Dems can accurately speak for how Dem candidates and voters are feeling and acting at this stage.
The city of Minneapolis and its people have been nominated for the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize.
The Nation Magazine can formally do so because it's had many peace laureates on its editorial board.

His obsession with his own status goes back before the days of @kurtandersen.bsky.social and SPY Magazine described the “small fingered vulgarian” back in the late 1980s.

Nah, the Danes should just rename Greenland “Epstein Island”. He’ll never talk about it again.
The Danes need to rename Greenland “Epstein Island”. Then, he’ll never bring up the subject again.
The worry keeping me awake: what happens to this…paramilitary force…when the order comes to disband them? From Colombia to Iraq, many reach for Pompey Magnus, “Cease quoting laws to those with swords girt about our loins.”
Right after they reach for their arms.
Frost: For so long, the right wing has held up patriotism as a vibe, as an aesthetic. But patriotism is more than bald eagles and flags and beer. Patriotism is about loving the people who live in the damn country — every single one of them.
@robinlynnekelly.bsky.social, @duckworth.senate.gov … WYD?
Walz: "I couldn't help but think, and it scares me a bit -- 'The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most important directive.' It certainly feels like that in this moment."
The right wants to talk about fraud? Somali fraud? Okay, give me 60 seconds.
A Washington Post article suggests that, beyond a certain threshold, larger homes don't make people happier. Instead, well-being is correlated with affordable housing in walkable neighborhoods where they feel socially connected.

To be crystal clear, I am a taxpayer and would NOT like my tax dollars to be used to “acquire” Greenland, through purchase or military force.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER‼️
“In the long run it is safest for a nation, a political party, or an individual man to dare to do right, & let consequences take care of themselves, for he that loses his life for truth’s sake, shall find it.”

You keep using that word, “can’t”….
I don’t think it means what you think it means.
Certainly not what /they/ thinks it means.

I was very much influenced in my thinking by Benjamin F. Martin’s “France in 1938” and William Shirer’s “The Collapse of the Third Republic,” that the defeat of the French military was given, once the political and social structures had “given up”. It was a mass socio-political suicide.
