Do you think King FΓ©lix has come close to Walker's +67, Rolen's +63, and McGriff's +62? Or even reached +60?

And Johan Santana

M. RodrΓguez? K-Rod?

Standard? In his first 10 years, FΓ©lix posted better numbers than any other pitcher in the American League. I'd even say those numbers alone are enough to get him into the Hall of Fame; there's no need to add what he did afterward. What an unfortunate and personal comment

The best thing that could happen to Johan is for FΓ©lix to be inducted in a couple of years. If that happens, his case will carry significant weight in a future election for the Era Committees

I swore Posey was on the ballot starting in 2028. I don't know, I got a little confused about the dates

It might be a dream, but BeltrΓ‘n and Andruw will already be off the ballot (both will be inducted into the HOF this year). So, perhaps, everything opens up great possibilities for Utley and FΓ©lix in 2027. And Abreu, Hamels, Pedroia could make a big leap. Everything would be perfect if that happened

Basically, the only reason I dust off my Bluesky account is @notmrtibbs.com. After that, it'll go right back in the vault

Justice will one day be done for Santana in the Era Committees

FΓ©lix's peak was so good that the numbers he put up in his first 10 years are enough to get him into HOF

Utley isn't even a better candidate than Pedroia, I really don't understand his rise

FΓ©lix has had an atypical career. His arm was overused and his level of play plummeted. But, registered HOF numbers in his first 10 years

It's true that FΓ©lix's final years saw a noticeable decline. His arm was ruined.

But, look at his first 10 years (enough numbers for a HOF):

FΓ©lix's case is atypical. His prime was so good that his first 10 years in MLB were enough to earn him a place in HOF

2-3 good years? Good grief. FΓ©lix's first 10 years were HOF worthy. That's enough

FΓ©lix's numbers in his first 10 years are literally HOF worthy, by modern baseball standards. In other words, if FΓ©lix had retired 5 years earlier, his career would have been even better. They overworked his arm, and that's why his decline was so drastic

If FΓ©lix had retired right after his tenth season, his numbers would have finished even better. By modern baseball standards, his numbers from his first 10 years are enough for a HOF

FΓ©lix put up HOF numbers in his first 10 years in MLB. That's enough. His subsequent decline happened because his team never supported him offensively and overworked his arm. Hamels, on the other hand, never had to worry about that. FΓ©lix experienced extreme fatigue in almost every start

FΓ©lix has an "atypical" case. If you only consider his first 10 years in MLB... he's a HOF. That is to say, if this guy had retired in his tenth season, first, he would truly be a HOF in everyone's eyes, and second, he would have prevented his team from overusing his arm

Ichiro, CC and Wagner

Imagine denying the vote to Abreu/FΓ©lix to give it to Rollins or Wright

16.01.2025 14:31 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Well, the thing is Andruw will be HOF sooner or later. And when that happens and they begin to use an episode of violence as an excusable measure to deny a player the vote, you will see how contradictory and without criteria the electorate can be

15.01.2025 00:42 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I think each of them had some episode to regret… except Ichiro. For example, CC was also a drunk during his time with the Yankees... but I understand that they are not monks in a church but players

14.01.2025 23:44 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Are you saying that for Andruw or Omar?

14.01.2025 23:29 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Utley already has a good projection to enter in 2026-2027. K-Rod does need votes to stay above 5%
