Pretty good considering my relative newness to the sport. Thanks for asking!

Hi! Sorry, I'm late to this. Was bowling a tournament at the National Bowling Stadium over the weekend. So... IT'S EXTREMELY COOL THAT LOCAL LEGEND CC SABATHIA MENTIONED THE TRACKER IN HIS HALL INDUCTION SPEECH YESTERDAY! youtu.be/twHAuTiUUmg?... (~8:45 mark)

This is a gut punch. I didn’t know Scott well, but we had some warm conversations about craft beer and baseball in press boxes and in Cooperstown. RIP

The Yes/No boxes started in 2019. In 2018 there was an opt-in box.

No, it's only public ballots.

One thing I neglected to note: for the second straight year, we won't have any new additions to the All-Time Net Gained Vote Leaderboard. A couple candidates got close (BeltrΓ‘n +38, Pettitte +36). I have a hunch we'll see some 2026 entries here.

Just added ballot #333 to the Tracker, which brings us to 84.5% of ballots known and a new record! (Previous best: 84.4% in 2020.)

05.02.2025 14:25 β€” πŸ‘ 62    πŸ” 3    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 2

There are only 62 fully private ballots (not published at BBWAA or shared with the Tracker anonymously). That is an all-time low. πŸ₯³

04.02.2025 23:53 β€” πŸ‘ 32    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

We have 332 ballots listen in the Tracker after the BBWAA drop today. That's 84.3% ballots known, and that means we're one ballot short of breaking the all-time record for % of ballots known. I'm working on it.

Scroll down to the post-results section to see all the ballots added today: tracker.fyi

04.02.2025 23:51 β€” πŸ‘ 36    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

The BBWAA has released all of the ballots that voters allowed to be published. There will be over 100 ballots new to the Tracker: bbwaa.com/25-hof-ballo...

Record public ballot percent? Not quite, but very close.

Thanks Daniel! I think your revs are a little higher than mine but speed might be similar. I'll see if I can get someone to do a video of me tomorrow at league.

Got a very nice end of Hall season note from a national ball writer. He also individually sent messages to each of the other Tracker Team fellas as well. Does it surprise anyone at all that it was @jaysonst.bsky.social who took the time to do this? Of course not. One of many reasons he's the 🐐.

The way we talk about it, 25 just happened, so he has 26 and 27 left. Both of those ballots are going to be relatively weak, especially 26. He has a 9% gap to bridge. Odds are in his favor I would think but his progress in the last few years is slower than you might hope if you're rooting for him.

Carlos BeltrΓ‘n is on the verge of Hall of Fame induction, and next year's ballot is wide open It now appears it’s a question of when, not if, Carlos BeltrΓ‘n will be voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Next year could be his time. The ballot is wide open.

Noah Trister (@noahtrister.bsky.social) is the only voter who asks to speak with me AFTER the results are announced each year. Here's his AP piece looking ahead to next year: apnews.com/article/base...

Real ones know that the ballot tracking has only just begun. We've added the first five post-results ballots to the sheet this morning and anticipate adding several more leading up to the big BBWAA ballot dump (80 more new ballots? 90?) 13 days from now. tracker.fyi

The Star Player Being Kept Out of Cooperstown by a Trash Can Ichiro Suzuki, CC Sabathia and Billy Wagner were voted into Cooperstown, while Carlos BeltrΓ‘n fell short for the third consecutive year for his role in the 2017 Houston Astros sign-stealing scandal.

Carlos BeltrΓ‘n is one of just five players with 400 homers and 300 steals. Statistically, he is undeniably deserving a spot in Cooperstown.

Yet for the third straight year, BeltrΓ‘n was kept out β€” because of the sign-stealing scandal that won't go away.
