I've spent the last year doing agency work, meaning that instead of being in-house and working for one org, I now have a portfolio of organizations I do work for.
it's been a lot of ups and downs, and I do think it's more challenging than being in-house, and I also think I really, really like it.
I'd love to see focus on what machine learning can actually do to make things better (including identify birds and plants) rather than trying to replace human creativity.

You gently run your hand through the rack. You can feel it—pure cotton, rich wool, Irish linen. The plump buttonholes are handsewn; the buttons attached with a firm shank. You flip the price tag over. It's affordable
You buy the jacket and go home, which is only 15 mins away. Your apt is $600/month
The longer you look at it the worse it gets

books should have an anti-acknowledgements section where the author talks shit about all the people who fucked them over while they were trying to write the thing. not bc I personally want to write one but bc I love gossip

Questions I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up. Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?
If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.
