The amount of reaching, justification, and mental gymnastics that people will go through to justify their vote is baffling to me.
All you have to do is state a fact.
WE WILL WIN AGAIN—but first:
We Democrats need to face the hard reality that in a GOTV election, people stayed home. Then we need to ask the hard question why, listen to the answers, and make real change—while being careful not to over correct.
WE HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO FIX A PROBLEM.
I’m not saying we shouldn’t challenge knowledge, or ask questions. After all, we should take an analytical approach to almost everything.
But it’s cool that academics and fact have a found a place on Bluesky.
Despite the usual anxiety and while I’m still in college rn, I love interacting with Professors on this.
It’s a breath of fresh air seeing them bring up historical details/facts/perspectives and only be asked questions, as opposed to screaming and crying.
