Two women in Sudan face death by stoning under morality laws in Sudan’s Criminal Act of 1991. SIHA calls for immediate suspension of these laws, a full legal review and an inclusive, democratic legislative framework overall. Women deserve protection and dignity, not laws that worsen their suffering.
In #Ethiopia, to enable a vibrant civic space, the need for strong and inclusive women’s leadership is great. During a Solidarity in Action – UN Women ACT capacity building, 30 participants strengthened advocacy skills, collaborated in exercises, and built connections to amplify women’s voices.

On the International Day of Zero Tolerance for #FGM, we mobilized religious and secular leaders in Ethiopia to demand accountability and justice against this practice.
We stand united for justice, rights and the autonomy of women and girls.
✊ In South Sudan, we took another step toward a more inclusive justice system. At the Quarterly Coalition Meeting, women’s rights organizations, legal professionals, and Ministry of Justice representatives came together to break stigma and advance real justice for women and girls.
