We do have Integral but I hadn’t spotted this one. I really must find time to explore all that is on there as I have largely just used the section tests so far.

06.02.2026 19:31 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I think my students actually appreciated it as I accidentally printed it in colour!
03.02.2026 19:48 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I was referring to core maths. For A level they would of course have an appropriate calculator.
03.02.2026 18:18 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0My context is quite unusual as I teach core maths on a gcse higher tier resit programme to grade 4/5 students rather than to A level students, there is no way they would pay for the cg100.

In #MathsToday #AlevelMaths did double dominoes for introducing integration rules for polynomials.
03.02.2026 17:53 — 👍 2 🔁 1 💬 1 📌 0I’ll be teaching both, unfortunately some of my students still don’t have access to fx991cw… Hope when they see how much easier it is it might trigger them to actually buy the correct calculator.
03.02.2026 17:48 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0We are also doing this, and now moving on to calculating any probability - do you know if for OCR they have to be able to calculate probabilities from both tables or calculator? Also can you recommend any good resources on normal distributions?

OCR says this but I’m not sure whether OR really means AND 🤔
31.01.2026 19:05 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0OCR core maths B, does anyone know if they have to be able to find probabilities for normal distributions from both the tables and calculator? Or can they choose which they use? #CoreMaths @paddymacmahon.com
31.01.2026 16:25 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0Oh that is great 😀 I had failed to notice that it is in your book, this is just the sort of thing I was looking for!
31.01.2026 13:23 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Thanks for explaining, that is reassuring as I had a sudden panic that I hadn’t planned any lesson time for this.
31.01.2026 13:10 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I must say I am struggling to understand the concept of it! I assumed at first they would actually have the data in the exam to do something with, the more I look into it the more bizarre it seems 🤷♀️
31.01.2026 11:21 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0How much time would you say you spend on this? Do you do this after teaching all the year 1 stats content? Are you able to share the video and form you mention? I was wondering about covering this after our end of year exams just before we go into year 2 content.

30.01.2026 10:31 — 👍 4 🔁 2 💬 4 📌 0I feel like I really should know this but I’ve mostly taught foundation tier gcse resits and we were given all the assessments, now I am having to create all my own.
29.01.2026 14:34 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Is there an easy way to get the balance of difficulty correct and spread of AO1, AO2, AO3 with examwizard?
29.01.2026 14:27 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0This is in FE,these students already have a grade 4/5 in gcse and are doing a gcse resit programme with higher tier gcse.I was going to just give them a past paper but I’ve decided they are not ready and want to focus on topics we have covered so far but I do want a realistic idea of their grade.
29.01.2026 14:22 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0What do you find the quickest and easiest way to create a gcse assessment? (A full paper, edexcel, but with selected topics that we have done so far). Yet again in the mess of having finished my part time working week but still with so much to do before next week 🙈

In #MathsToday I had been excited for #AlevelMaths to solve the baked bean tin optimisation problem but I’ll have to leave it until next week as clearly they weren’t as secure on stationary points as I had thought. I really enjoy having a small group and being able to easily adapt plans as needed.

28.01.2026 19:18 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I introduced this phrase to my group after seeing your post. Today a student asked me for a reminder of the “if it’s tricky thing” and then went on to draw a picture as a result. Thanks for the idea!
28.01.2026 17:56 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0In #MathsToday my gcse higher resitters totally smashed quadratic sequences and were chuffed to bits that they could do the mathsgenie sheet which claims this topic to be grade 9. It renewed my hope for this group.
