@mrdavidlemon.bsky.social should know of this surefire box office banga!
Dear the Labour party,
I don't think 'stopping GB News' Matt Goodwin for the Gorton & Denton by-election' would be a big deal if you had done the obvious right thing. I might still have given you £50 towards the Manchester mayoralty campaign if you'd done the right thing.
Amazing how reliably a successful career in architecture seems to correlate with reaching a grand age. RIP Mr G

This 20-minute video not easy to watch, but it is very well made and does seem necessary to see.

For the rest of this year, match funding means your International Rescue Committe donation will be doubled by match funding. IRC is a huge charity and they're doing lifesaving work, basically everywhere you're worried about

Re: the White House flip-flop. Am I right in assuming the investigation into Bill Clinton and other Democrats with Epstein links will force a reluctant President to withhold loads of documents that might also feature one prominent Republican?
Did not know - best wishes for getting through the ordeal with spirits undimmed
Thank you - yes, so much higher education that's not vocational is being squashed. They killed the philosophy MA programme I studied too, and anything not clearly business-focused is way out of favour. You'd think the enormous sums people have to pay to take these courses might protect them …
This is a terrific course that immeasurably enriched my life. British universities would be poorer without it. Please sign

Pleased with this chat to Michael 'Ze' Zilkha. I had not known there's a Waitresses song built around a quote from Samuel Beckett's Innomable

Very alarming but essential reading from @carolecadwalla.bsky.social . If only we could get people worrying about the deep state interested in this conspiracy

Damnation - thought I’d just scooped the office Popestakes, but it turns out I was precisely 24 hours out.
They didn’t hang around, those krazy cardinals
For no better reason than that this is the single best pop song released in 2025 thus far. FACT

Woods stressed that the trade is so lucrative it it is worth trafffickers' while to sink masses of money not just into 'bending' police but also buy a few politicians.
But actually I have no real clue about this, cetainly not in relation to Senegal. Sorry Senegal, I may have been slandering you
Thanks Rachel, I didn't know about the new Senegal government to my shame. But was very struck by a Health Poverty Action seminar featuring Neil Woods. They began by flagging how the places in direst environmental peril globally are so very often the ones being devastated by the drug trade …
Yesterday was my beloved friend Mick's birthday. He died in 2013, a few weeks after his b-day.
So wish I'd got it the f together to put out a record by him. Sorry, my friend.
He was so lovely, in music and most importantly in person: Fact, @edwyncollins.bsky.social
