The Connecticut Inspector General has released body camera footage from the police shooting on Blue Hills Avenue last week. The officer who opened fire is identified as Joseph Magnano of the Hartford Police Department.

Hartford police shot a man on Blue Hills Avenue today. They say he's in critical condition. There's bystander video of the shooting going around on Facebook. It comes on the heels of Hartford police shooting and killing Everard Walker in his home last week.

Connecticut prisons in 'sustained institutional failure,' watchdog report finds The 57-page document describes the state's corrections systems as plagued by longstanding issues, including routine staffing shortages and inconsistent health care.

Comes a little over a month after state Corrections Ombuds DeVaughn Ward released a report finding Connecticut prisons are in "sustained institutional failure."
