Right, you can do other things, but real general strikes take more organizing than people are doing right now. What people are doing is reacting, and that's not how a general strike comes to be.
It's not in any way like organizing a food drive. There are historical references you can look into. I'd urge you to do some research.
Idk what General Strike US's plans are but actual General Strikes take a high degree of organization to ensure people are not harmed by lack of access to necessary goods like food, power, and other such factors. It's gonna leave a trail, that's just how it works.
