So, what other than putting pressure on the ruling class does ceasing work do if key sectors stop work?
What is, in your interpretation, a general strike?
Right, you can do other things, but real general strikes take more organizing than people are doing right now. What people are doing is reacting, and that's not how a general strike comes to be.
It's not in any way like organizing a food drive. There are historical references you can look into. I'd urge you to do some research.
Idk what General Strike US's plans are but actual General Strikes take a high degree of organization to ensure people are not harmed by lack of access to necessary goods like food, power, and other such factors. It's gonna leave a trail, that's just how it works.
Are y'all organizing for the 2028 General Strike that the UAW is gearing up for? I never see GeneralStrikeUS talking about it and it seems to be the only real General Strike being organized.
That's not the reality that me or any of my leftist friends and groups have ever been apart of. We've been taking action against Trump since his first campaign began and we've been taking action against the rising tide of fascism since long before any Libs acknowledged it.
So you think democracy enabled Trump? You're not wrong, free will really kicks the Democrats where it hurts time and time again doesn't it? I don't vote so you must think I'm a secret fascist too right? Count up the electoral points any of those people won and add it to Harris, would she have won?
from the Senator who fought against the Vietnam draft and who put the Pentagon Papers into the Congressional record
Me?
What's the context? Help us understand.
And personally, I've been in the streets against the rise of fascism in this country since 2014, and I didn't take years off. I've been in the streets in Washington, Utah, South Carolina, and Georgia.
Did you ever leave a 20mi radius around your insulated liberal safehaven?
You spent a year 'fighting' Nazis since Trump's first inauguration? And you have the audacity to say the left wasnt responding to him and his goons?!
I've had guns brandished at me.
I've had friends get jumped by squads of 3%ers.
I've trained and organized in the streets.
You're a spineless coward.
Short and sweet new installment in our 'Anarchists in the Labor Movement' series. This time with GK, a restaurant worker in Michigan and member of IWW. π©π΄
Criticism isn't lying and calling for attacks on groups of people. You don't critique the left you poison the well of real progress in favor of grandstanding for nothing.
The left shut down DC when Trump was inaugurated, faced decades in prison, and beat the case.
One of many acts of fierce resistance anti-fascists put up against the first Trump admin, while people like Will Stancil were pearl-clutching about calling Trump a fascist.

So many people punching at "the left" and when you dig into what they mean it's like one specific account that was mean to them one time
California unions didn't talk about Democrats and that's a large reason we flipped two seats lmfao www.latimes.com/politics/sto...
ACTION: Add fire dispatch directly to your contacts and pin them at the top of your contacts / add them to your emergency contacts. If you need help, you won't need to look them up while under stress!
Who tf is the left to you? Cuz it's not democrats, they enabled Trump, the left has been warning about his oligarchy since before he took office the first time.
Hereβs a cool Labor technique we should bring back: Support Strikes!
What is it? How does it work? Who does it help & who does it hurt?

Let's say there's "waste" and "fraud" in the government.
Well thatβs why every department had an inspector general to find and stop it.
But guess what? Trump fired most of these independent auditors who should be insulated from politics.
None of this is about waste and fraud.
