Great piece
4) 'Commitments to' or 'values of' diversity are weak as their vagueness prevents people from defining meaningful action. You can't hold people to account for this. If you promised diversity, you will always have some diversity, then promise fulfilled - you promised nothing more
3) Diversity, is a thing not a value as even when you have a very diverse workforce, it doesn't mean all staff have a good or equal experience in their employment or that individuals are treated or paid equally.
2) There will always be some diversity; as seen with the NHS, there is usually more diversity among lower-paid and less senior staff. Diversity decreases as you go up the organisation and examine decision-making power and pay, but as a whole, the organisation is very diverse.
1) Tired of hearing statements about values of or commitments to diversity. Unless organs only employ clones, there will be some diversity in staff's race, ethnicity, sexuality, nationality, disability, gender, age, or faith. These statements are weak, as diversity always exists
