Absolutely.
And treating it as a mistake is a tell. The "mistakes" are the craft qualities that make his prose shine compared to the general gray mass of AI prose.
I blame the creators of LLMs.
I will happily defend the prose in Blood Meridian, if not anything else about him.

jesse look i know ive been telling people for years how youre emblematic of a new brand of “science journalist” who actually holds nothing but rank contempt for the very scientists and their work that you claim to cover, but you arent supposed to just go out and *say it*!!!

The only thing it feels worthwhile for me to say right now is pay attention to whether your feelings & the information you’re absorbing are paralyzing you or prompting you to meaningful action, whatever that is. Paralysis helps no one but the enemy.

To do this, anti-trans lawmakers in Kansas moved fast to change the law, overrode the governor’s veto, and pushed for the legal changes to go into effect nearly immediately. That kind of power—to void gender on official documents, to compel gender conformity—is terrifying and it will not stop here.
