Stuff like this is really makes me wish someone would create some kind of XR Linux Distro (Yes I know Andriod is Linux based but you know what I mean). I would love Gnome XR or Plasma XR running on a Arch or Fedora based system

Buuuuuuut instead it looks like what Andriod XR is *actually* gonna be is an AI filled VisionOS clone. For cryin' out loud the showcase showed off more about Google's Gemini LLM than the headset and Andriod XR

I was really hoping that Andriod XR was going to be an active competitor to Meta's Horizon OS. A more open and less outright spy-y system that OEMs like Pico and HTC could use along side Samsung ...

*sigh*

Ya know I knew that the Samsung XR headset was gonna be an Apple Vision Pro Clone but I gotta say Andriod XR is already looking to disappoint. ...
