(It probably doesn't even feature spoilers but I was a scaredy cat and not even halfway done when it streamed xD I also started 2+ months late)

Which leads me to last:

There's a demo. I have no idea how long it is tbh and the game does have a slow start, but it's an option without committing to a purchase.

I think that if you take a liking to the cast and/or the mysteries behind it is a long, but good game.

I personally enjoy picking choices that feel "right" to me but if you care mostly for open plot points/mystery there are branches you can skip entirely. They are only here for you if you love the cast.

Not my personal rec, but I'd rather have people give it a try with conditions than not at all.

- Maxing out every item and skill is very much optional. Social levels too, but I do assume people who are interested in seeing all endings will want this as well lol

- Completing the game might not be necessary for you.

While rarely entirely the same, you don't gain anything by doing them yourself other than enjoying fights.
I skipped like twice during the entire game. Pretty sure that alone earned me /at least/ +30 hours. Probably much more because of explorations...

A short thread of things I can tell while staying spoilerfree...

First, to those scared by my playing time count of Hundred Line:

- The game lets you skip certain (time consuming) tasks that you have seen before, mostly battles.
